Flex attributes are special custom fields that may be added to one of the main 12 player groups. The main player groups are things like: deposits, invoices, POs, expense/receipts, balance sheet items, stock/units, customers, vendor/payees, employees, parts, elements of time and quotes.

A flex attribute is basically like a database extension or custom field per main group. This is for things that we don't have fields for. As an example: Say you wanted to track a customer's shirt size or style, how did someone hear about you, how were things shipped, what table was the customer sitting at, or maybe a PO needs a special flag for a damage report (bent or crushed box). Hopefully that makes sense. All kinds of possible options.

Each custom field will show up as if it is part of the original database field sets. You can populate it, search it, and see it on the printable version of the main player group. You also get to choose if the new custom fields will be a drop-down (preset menu by you), a text field (open entry), a date field, or a numeric value.
