Add/Edit Flex Attribute Custom Field
This is the add/edit page for flex attributes. A flex attribute is basically a database extension field that somewhat plays as if it was a native field in the database. You can choose all kinds of settings per custom field or flex attribute. If you need to know more about flex attributes in general, please see this help file.

Here are some of the fields:
Flex Attribute Name - This is where you get to name your custom field.

Attribute Type - Choose from the options provided. Options are: Date, drop-down (custom preset menu), number, or text input (general open entry text field). This is how you specify the type of data that will be stored.

Drop-Down Values or Defaults - If you are building a list, this is where you enter that list. Use a pipe symbol "|" to create the list - Example: use|pipes|to|separate|list|items. This is also where you can put in a default value or starting value.

Required - Checked means required, unchecked means not required.

Sort - Numeric value - What is the sort order. The default is 100. If you want something to come before another field, simply change the number to something before it. For example: Say you have three things, put one at 50, one at 75 and the leave the last one at 100.

Status - Choose from the list provided. Active means use or show. Inactive means don't use or hide.

Show On Web - This checkbox only plays into certain flex attributes. Basically, things that show up in ecommerce. Things like customer fields, parts or items, invoices, or quotes. Most other one, don't have a web version.

Id - This will be new by default. Once assigned, it will show the actual id number that got stored in the database.

As a note, if you need more entries, submit the page and then come back. There will always be 3 new options above and beyond what you have used.
